What is CPD training?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is used to describe the learning activities that professionals in an industry engage in to develop and improve their skill set and stay up to date with developments in the industry.

CPD combines different methods of learning that can include training courses, workshops, conferences, webinars, events, seminars, or E-learning. Promoting CPD ensures that academic and practical qualifications don’t become outdated and allows for professionals to reskill themselves.

The training can be used both individually and for organisations as it’s a great motivation tool to encourage better talent whilst also helping individuals with their own learning requirements. Often measured in points, one point would be equal to 1 CPD hour.
