I normally install Aico Smoke Alarms as they tend to be my good too Alarm systems however I decided to give these a chance. The standout points of installing these over Aico is that there is more room for terminating cable at the connection point which saves time in installing, good variations of screw entries to secure to ceiling, they seem to be smaller in size compared to Aico and lighter too, most importantly they are much cheaper than Aico.

Suitable replacement for my old, past it's best smoke alarm. Went for this because it was a reasonable price for a mains alarm with a built in backup battery. Ear piercingly loud when putting it in test mode, and did go of when we burnt the dinner. Instructions were clear and took about 10 mins to replace.

I have used these mains interconnected smoke alarms before and choose them because they are an excellent replacement alarm. I like the internal battery with a 10 year life that will last the life of the alarm which will prevent the annoying chirruping meaning that customers will not have to change the batteries.

Build quality is solid and practical. It does not feel flimsy, and once fitted it sits cleanly on the ceiling without looking like a bodge job.

Theses are brilliant, there was already 3 HiSpec Smoky's fitted; Livingroom, downstairs hall and upstairs hall, but a non Interlinked Heat detector in Kitchen. Very easy to buy one of these and Interlink it with existing. Not stock item in Screwfix, but ordered day before and in store before 12 noon next day, good price also 🙂
