Ensure your property has the correct level of fire protection

It is just as important to have a working fire detection system in a caravan or park home as it is your own home. When it comes to fire safety it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the correct alarms are installed.

UK Government legislation dictates that certain properties require a higher grade of fire protection than others. The grade of fire protection and the level of protection are determined by the primary use of the property.

It is important to remember that minimum requirements are not intended to be the target. For complete fire protection, owners might want to consider a heat alarm in the kitchen and additional smoke alarms                         for better coverage.
